The Deity Immersion took place in our Ashrama Pond on October 21, 2025, at 4:30 pm. Around 450 devotees and visitors joyously participated in the Puja and partook of anna prasadam throughout the celebration.

Celebration of 164th Birth Anniversary (Janma Tithi Puja) of Swami Vivekanada at Ramakrishna Mission, Sri Vijayapuram, on January 10, 2026.

The day’s programme commenced with Mangalarati at 4:30 am., followed by Vedic Chanting, Special Puja​, devotional songs, Havan, a Memorial Lecture delivered by Swami Omkaratmananda, Mission Secretary, Bhogarati, and Pushpanjali. At 5:30 pm. Sandhyarati and bhajans were performed, followed by a spiritual discourse on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda delivered by Swami Omkaratmananda, Mission Secretary and Smt. Shudha Tripathi, an ashrama devotee .


Sweets and Anna Prasad were served to approximately 500 devotees and visitors at noon and at night through sitting arrangements, and were also distributed after Sandhyarati.

Celebration of 11th September 1893 - Swami Vivekananda’s landmark address at the World Parliament of Religions, Chicago

On 11th September 2025, at 10:30 am., the 132nd anniversary of Swami Vivekananda’s landmark address at the Parliament of Religions, Chicago, was solemnly and jointly commemorated by the Ramakrishna Mission, Sri Vijayapuram, and Jawaharlal Nehru Rajkeeya Mahavidyalaya (JNRM), Sri Vijayapuram, at the JNRM College Auditorium, with some inspiring events that reflected on the enduring relevance of Swami Vivekananda's message of universal brotherhood and harmony.

The celebration commenced with Vedic Shanti Mantras. The spirit of Swami Vivekananda’s teachings resonated powerfully when all participants chanted Swadesh Mantras composed by Swami Vivekananda. The opening and closing songs were sung by members of Sri Sarada Sangha, a series of profound and eloquent lectures highlighting the timeless wisdom and global significance of Swami Vivekananda’s vision, were delivered by the respected College Principal Sir and two honorable members of the faculty.

Swami Omkaratmanandaji Maharaj, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission, Sri Vijayapuramshared profound reflections on the powerful teachings of Swami Vivekananda, its great significance as a Universal Brotherhood in contemporary society, emphasizing its essential role in fostering peace and understanding amidst diversity.

The programme peacefully concluded with the distribution of a book highlighting Swami Vivekananda's great life and his powerful teachings along with refreshment packets amongst all the participants.

This commemorative meeting not only celebrated the historic moment of Swami Vivekananda’s address but also reaffirmed the enduring call for universal harmony, spiritual awakening, and service to humanity that continues to inspire generations worldwide.

350 students and many faculties from the College participated in the program very enthusiastically and joyously.



Worship of Divine Mother Sri Sri Saraswati at Ramakrishna Mission, Sri Vijayapuram, from 23 to 24 January 2026

On 23rd January 2026, the special worship of Divine Mother Sri Sri Saraswati was solemnly and peacefully performed starting from Vedic mantras, hymns, bhajans, bhogarati, havan, and anna prasada distribution to all puja  participants. Sandhyarati of Sri Sri Devi was duly performed just after sandhyarati of Sri Sri Thakur, followed by bhajans and prasad distribution. The celebration concluded very peacefully on 24th January 2026. Around 500 devotees and visitors participated with devotion and received cooked prasad.

Christmas Eve Celebration at Ramakrishna Mission, Sri Vijayapuram, on December 24, 2025

On 24 December 2025, Christmas Eve was joyously celebrated with due solemnity at our main temple as per the following programmes:

Regular Evening Prayer began at 05:30 pm.
Next, a Special Candlelit Prayer was held for Bhagavan Jesus Christ.
Christmas Carol Songs were sung in chorus.
A Reading of selected portions from Holy Bible was held.
A special lecture on “The Life and Teachings of Bhagavan Jesus Christ”. was delivered followed by closing songs.

About 70 persons, including our devotees and visitors attended the program with great joy and enthusiasm. Prasad was distributed to all.

National Youth Day Celebration by Ramakrishna Mission, Sri Vijayapuram, on 12-01-2026

On 12th January, 2026, the great occasion of Birth Anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, Ramakrishna Mission, Sri Vijayapuram, befittingly celebrated the National Youth Day in collaboration with the Department of Sports & Youth Affairs, A&N Administration, and Department of Education, with great enthusiasm and reverence.


At 6:30 am, the Celebration commenced with a grand colorful procession which was jointly inaugurated by Shri Vikram Singh, Director of Education/Sports/Higher Education, A&N Administrationand Swami Omkaratmananda, Mission Secretary, in front of Netaji Stadium, Sri vijayapuram. Over 900 youths, including professors, teachers, students, faculty members of local schools and colleges, participants from the Ramakrishna Mission Vocational Training Centre, Sri Vijaya Puram, and devotees, joyfully took part in the procession, making it memorable with powerful slogans of Swamiji’s messages, patriotic and devotional songs, and placards displaying excerpts from his speeches.


The procession concluded with cultural programmes held in front of Swami Vivekananda’s Old Statue at J.N.R.M. college campus, Sri Vijayapuram, followed by a National Youth Day meeting organized by the local administration. Ms. Chanchal Yadav, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, attended as Chief Guest, along with Shri Vikram Singh, Director of Education and Sports, other dignitaries, and Swami Omkaratmananda, Mission Secretary. All the speakers, while addressing the august gathering, highlighted the powerful man-making and character-building ideals of Swami Vivekananda, emphasized their deep relevance in contemporary times, and encouraged everyone to study Swami Vivekananda’s literature to gain strength, clarity of purpose, and inspiration.


To promote Swami Vivekananda’s “man-making” and “character-building” ideals among youth, the Sri Vijayapuram Ashrama organized the Youth Arise Performance cultural programme at the Ashrama Old Temple Hall at 2:30 p.m. Ten schools participated, with 25–26 students competing in speech, elocution, song, and recitation, displaying their notable talent, enthusiasm, and spiritual awareness.
