National Youth Day
About National Youth Day
National Youth Day is observed across India on 12th January to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda, whose teachings continue to inspire millions of youth toward strength, character, and service to humanity. At Ramakrishna Mission, Sri Vijaya Puram, this day is celebrated with devotion and dedication, focusing on inspiring and engaging the younger generation in Swamiji’s ideals.
Our Annual Celebration
Every year, our centre organizes various cultural, spiritual, and educational programs to mark this occasion. These typically include:
A grand youth procession featuring Swamiji’s statue and quotations
Participation from local schools, colleges, and administrative departments
Public meetings and talks on the life and message of Swami Vivekananda
Spiritual offerings, such as Pushpa Arghya, Arati, and devotional songs
Evening discourses and special prayer sessions at the Ashrama
Prasad distribution to all participants and devotees
These programs aim to bring Swamiji’s powerful message—of strength, purity, and dedication—to young minds in a meaningful and dynamic way.
Community Participation
Our celebrations witness active involvement from:
Students and teachers from educational institutions
Officers and staff from the local administration
Devotees and well-wishers from the surrounding areas
