Relief Work
Our Vision of Service
Guided by the ideals of "Shiva Jnane Jiva Seva" — serving humanity as the manifestation of the Divine — Ramakrishna Mission, Sri Vijaya Puram, actively undertakes relief and rehabilitation work to support individuals and communities during times of crisis.
Whether in the face of natural disasters, public emergencies, or economic hardship, the Ashrama responds with compassion, promptness, and practical aid.
Food Distribution: Dry rations and cooked meals provided to families in affected areas.
Clothing & Essentials: Distribution of clothes, blankets, and daily-use items to those in distress.
Medical Aid: Free medicines and health supplies offered during emergency situations.
Disaster Relief: Immediate assistance provided during floods, storms, and other calamities.
Outreach in Remote Areas: Relief efforts extended to nearby islands and underserved rural regions.
In recent years, our centre has carried out multiple relief activities across South Andaman and nearby island communities, reaching the needy during:
Floods and cyclones
Pandemic-related lockdowns
Livelihood crises in remote areas
Each effort has been made possible through the cooperation of devotees, volunteers, and well-wishers.
